Respecting My Own Boundaries

Aug 26
1 min read

Silent Love Protocol is very special to me for many reasons. There have been ups and downs, highs and lows. None of that makes me want to stop... it makes me want to adjust so that SLP can be more effective and sustainable.

One thing I’ve learned along the way is that not every good idea or opportunity has to be pursued. Or, put another way: every blessing ain’t gotta be your blessing.

Community care remains very important to me. At the same time, social interaction is an area I’m still working on. Choosing not to force myself into something I am not ready or equipped to sustain is a practice I not only preach, but live by.

With that in mind, Silent Love Protocol will no longer be offering the Community Exchange.

This is not because the idea was bad or because community care is being removed. It is because my mental capacity has boundaries, and I am choosing to honor them.

The remaining Community Exchange items will still be circulated throughout the community, but through organizations that specifically focus on supporting children and families. This allows the items to reach people who can use them while allowing SLP to focus its energy where it can be most effective.

If you have questions or feedback, please feel free to contact us. As these community connections are confirmed, we can also help direct you toward the organizations and resources available.
