What do you wish adults understood better?

Silent Love Protocol wants to hear from students.

​

Create a short social story about something you wish adults understood better about feelings, school, life, stress, friendships, being misunderstood, or anything else that matters to you.

Your story can be serious, thoughtful, funny, illustrated, or completely your own.

School-Level Prizes

Elementary School — $25
Middle School — $50
High School — $75

​

Each school-level winner will also receive:

• A printed keepsake copy of their story-

• A Project: Understanding Winner Certificate

 

Every student who participates will receive a Certificate of Recognition.

Winners Announced & Notified: December 6, 2026

 

How to Enter

A parent or guardian must complete the Student Voice Contest Entry Form before submitting the student’s story.

Mailed submissions should be sent early enough to arrive by November 30, 2026.

 

Contest Guidelines

• Open to elementary, middle, and high school students.

• One entry per student.

• Entries must be the student’s original work.

• Students retain ownership of their work.

• Stories may be handwritten, typed, or illustrated.

• Parent/guardian information is used for contest communication and follow-up.

• A student’s name or identifying information will not be publicly shared without parent/guardian permission.

• Winning students will be contacted using the information provided on the entry form.

• Mailing information for prizes/printed keepsakes will be collected from winners after notification.

 

Every student voice matters. This contest is about giving young people an opportunity to say what they wish the adults around them understood.​
