Tools for Little Learners

SLP Little Boundaries Mini-Packet

A worksheet packet designed to support emotional awareness, self-regulation, and healthy boundaries. Using the Silent Love Protocol's trauma-informed approach, it helps children recognize internal cues, communicate needs safely, and build self-aware coping skills.

SLP Self-Care Guide for Little Grounders

A gentle, kid friendly mini guide that helps children understand self-care as noticing their feelings, caring for their body, and choosing calming tools that help them feel safe and steady. Through simple explanations, choice-based menus, and a fill-in-the blank plan, kids learn how to build their own supportive routines and confidently respond to big feelings.

SLP Little Grounders Kit

A trauma-informed collection of sensory tools designed to help children regulate big emotions and return to a sense of safety. Grounded in the Silent Love Protocol's Safety Pause method, each item supports gentle, body-based calming through movement, touch, and choice. The kit is ideal for children who experiences overwhelm, shutdown, anxiety, or emotional spirals and benefit from simple, repeatable coping tools they can understand and use independently. It also includes access to a child-friendly boundaries and self-care guide to support emotional awareness, regulation, and self-respect at home, school, or in therapeutic settings.

I Wish They'd Understand

Sometimes, what looks like “not listening”…
is actually a child trying to stay safe.

This is a story about big feelings, quiet shutdowns, and the moments adults often misunderstand.

When a child feels overwhelmed, their body doesn’t always fight back — sometimes, it goes still.

But stillness is not defiance.
Silence is not refusal.
And shutdown is not a choice.

I Wish They’d Understand gently follows one child’s experience of being pushed to respond before they feel safe — and what changes when one adult chooses to slow down, notice, and meet them where they are.

This story offers a different lens:
one rooted in safety, not control.

For children, caregivers, and educators learning that behavior is communication — and safety comes first.
