Community Gardening Project

*Concludes August 29th

The Community Gardening Project is a community initiative through Silent Love Protocol™ rooted in a simple belief:

Small, steady care matters.

Not because gardening fixes everything.
Not because growth is always easy.

But because there is something meaningful about watering something each day, watching new leaves form, stepping outside for sunlight, and remembering that growth can happen slowly and still count.

These small moments can help reconnect us to our bodies, our environments, and the present moment, especially during stressful or overwhelming seasons of life.

What began as a few containers and a handful of seeds has grown into a seasonal project focused on growing food, sharing plants, and creating opportunities for connection through gardening.

Each season we grow vegetables, fruits, herbs, berries, and starter plants. Some stay here. Some are shared freely with others.

Through the Grow Something Steady initiative, plants and gardening resources are offered to encourage first-time gardeners, families, and anyone looking for a small way to reconnect with themselves through growing something of their own.

No experience required.

Just soil, water, sunlight, and a willingness to start.

"You do not have to grow perfectly to still be growing."

A few weeks ago, these were just seeds and hope.

Today, they’re becoming plants that will be shared through the Grow Something Steady Community Gardening Project.

Gardening teaches something important:

You don’t see growth every day.

Sometimes you water.
Sometimes you wait.
Sometimes you wonder if anything is happening at all.

And then one day, you realize something has been growing the entire time.

Over the next few weeks, free starter plants will be made available to local community members.

No purchase required.
No catch.
Just a chance to grow something.

What You’ll Receive

• Free starter plant(s)

Basic planting and care instructions

• Encouragement to grow something steady in a world that isn’t always steady

Guidelines

• Initial limit of 2–3 starters per plant typer per household

• Local pickup only

• Plants must be picked up within 7 days of claiming

• Unclaimed plants may be offered to the next person waiting

• If additional plants remain, more may become available

Interested in Participating?

Complete the Grow Something Steady Interest Form.

Requests submitted through the interest form receive priority consideration as part of our daily operations. The form also helps us plan future phases and understand community interest in additional offerings such as herbs, peppers, beans, peas, squash, cucumbers, seeds, and seasonal produce.

This project is still growing, just like the plants. My hope is simple: that a small plant might become a small source of pride, nourishment, peace, or connection for someone who needs it.

P.S. These plants were grown in a backyard container garden using buckets, totes, grow bags, recycled containers, and a lot of trial and error. You don’t need a perfect garden to grow something meaningful.
